My name is Melanie. I’m from California, a 20 something year old student studying Cinematic Arts in Monterey. Number one goal is to switch over to study culinary arts somewhere, anywhere, by this Fall.
I am constantly covered in flour, smelling of mocha sauce, pumpkin, occasionally ground coffee and some weird concoction of all the pastries I make in that day. I am a lover of smoothies and sweets. I find myself constantly wanting to live in an everyday autumn, so most of my recipes consist of treats you’ll find in the fall and winter times. Oh, and I love bunnies, by the way, some people call me bun as a pet-name so, therefore, The Baking Bun was created. Second goal: get a bunny.
Currently, I am recovering from an eating disorder and a recent hospitalization. Baking has been my go-to. There is peace in the chocolate, my friends. I’m excited to share my passion with you all! I love learning more about substitutions for ingredients (something I do quite often, being a college student and all) and vegan recipes. I am also a smoothie fanatic so be prepared for some smoothie recipe-pairings!
